Before BuildStrong, Amy worked with First 5 LA School Readiness Programs for four years bringing comprehensive early childhood programs to children and families across Los Angeles. She has more than twenty years of experience working with various educational programs. Her work has centered on the goal of increasing student outcomes in under-resourced, low-performing school communities through collaboration, family support and public-private partnerships.
Community Involvement:
Amy currently serves on the boards of Steps to Success and Executives Partnering to Invest in Children. She is also a founding board member of The STEAD School.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in art history, Wittenberg University; Master’s degree in social research methodology, University of California, Los Angeles
Amy is currently a doctoral student in the Education Leadership and Policy Studies Program at the Morgridge College of Education at the University of Denver.
