About the Foundation

The Construction Education Foundation was founded in 2002 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to construction industry workforce development in Colorado. With the public’s support, CEF creates opportunities for career advancement and workforce development through scholarships, education, innovations in training and a focus on technology. CEF also works with several partners in the industry to advance the construction profession.

The Foundation has awarded tens of thousands in scholarship dollars and funding for education and community based programs since 2002

Our mission is to recruit, develop, and serve students of the construction industry by promoting innovative educational pathways to rewarding careers in an inclusive, highly-skilled and prosperous construction workforce.

Programs to Advance Individuals & Industry

CEF’s programs ensure Colorado’s workforce is keeping pace with increased demand based on the state’s growing population and economic expansion.

Careers in Construction
CIC is a high school trades program that puts construction shop back in the high school. Students earn state and nationally recognized Home Builder’s Institute (HBI) certificates in carpentry, electrical, hvac, plumbing, and more.

High School Construction Connection
HSCC utilizes industry volunteer navigator teams that interact with participating high schools to provide students with hands-on opportunities, job site tours, info and career opportunities.

Construction Careers Now!
CCN is a four week, adult pre-apprenticeship program that is tuition free for the participant and concludes with a hiring fair offering a great career in construction.
